Travel Assistance Details
Athletics Yukon (AY) wants to help our membership travel to larger events. If you are traveling to an athletic event you may be eligible to claim a $200 reimbursement of your travel costs. Additionally if you are an athlete who is traveling from a rural Yukon community, outside of Whitehorse, you may be eligible for an additional amount. This funding is available through Lotteries Yukon’s Travel Assistance Program. To read more about Lotteries Yukon please visit their website at www.lotteriesyukon.com
- The athlete must be a member of Athletics Yukon to qualify for the funding (the Athletics Yukon membership year runs from January 1 – December 31st. To find out more on becoming a member click here )
- The online application form must be submitted at least 25 days prior to the event start date. (Step 1 below)
- The online ‘post trip form’ must be submitted within 10 days after the event is completed. (Step 2 below)
Please note that there is a cap on the number of athletes we can support for each event. We will process the applications in the order they are received. First come, first served – so plan early!
