Guided training session will start April 2nd and continue for the 6 weeks leading up to the Run for Mom event on Mother’s Day.
Location: Sport Yukon will serve as our start and end point.
Date: Tuesdays 5:30pm – 6:30pm; April 2 – May 7
Cost: This is a free event. This series is open to both AY Members and non-members.

Participants will be supported every step of the way.
Knowledgeable group leaders will tailor the training to the interests and experience of participants. Participants can choose one of three clinics:
1. Learn to walk faster
2. Learn to run 5km
3. Run in a Group (for people who already run)
– Learn the proper body mechanics for running and develop the skills to complete a 5km event.
– Guest speakers will present on an array of topics like warming ups and stretching, nutrition,
safety, motivation and how to find running shoes and gear.
– Participants will receive a detailed training plan to follow for their self-guided runs outside of the guided training sessions.
Come to the sessions ready to move; bring proper footwear and a water bottle.
Participants with strollers are welcome.
Participants are not allowed to run with dogs and headphones cannot be worn.
